Not recommended 1. Their sales team sucks. They wont respond. We need to do multiple follow ups and they keep saying they are busy and will answer only in mail if we post questions. Being First time to solar, I had multiple questions and they are not patient enough to answer my questions. They always try to sell the system which they designed and wont' listen to our needs or do not spare sometime to make us understand what/where we are missing. 2. Their sales team instead of sending an official quotes they just mention prices in mails and later keep increasing the quote saying they gave earlier price by mistake or the prices went up the other day. That happened to me like 2-3 times with 8M in a week. Imagine if sales team is so arrogant, prone to mistakes and not responsive, you can understand how their other services are going to be in long term commitment. 3. There are multiple charges. If we backout of their contract they will charge $1550 for doing nothing(there is no onsite inspection or no system has been ordered). Besides I signed contract with them and due to their worst customer service I decided not to move forward and also dropped an email on day-5 if you do not respond please consider it as my cancellation. Still they didn't responded and charged me $1550 saying as per contract you need to send an email to different id for cancellation. On the other hand, I dealt with NC Solar at the same time they always responded with immediate calls and messages. One of my friends cancelled the agreement after the site inspection they cancelled the agreement with $0 fee. I really feel happy to go with NC Solar even if they quote $500-$1000 they have better communication and will be in safe hands. 4. Don't fall for $500-$1000 savings compared to other providers. Their quote is $500-1000 less compared to other NC Solar but with their irresponsive sales team, you can imagine the pain to deal with warranty and other aspects once you move forward. It seems a very frustrating situation on continuous follow-up's where I am pressurized to move forward with them considering bigger amount I am going to invest. They offered rebate guarantee and mentioned in the contract that I have to pay $500 if I don't qualify. Where as NC Solar said $0 cancellation. 5. My friends as a group reached out to them and were shocked to see their cancellation charges are $2400+any charges incurred in contract. They asked about why the cancellation charges are increased with in 3 days and the explanation they gave was horrible because of the fact 2 - 3 others trying to cancel the agreement with 8M and hence they increased the cancellation fees to $2400 for doing nothing. Yes they can charge for their services at time of cancellation and additional amount of $500. Rather increasing the cancellation fee they should know why customers are backing out. If company policies are changing because of 2 or 3 people cancelling, please imagine how future warranties and other things will change the very next day. 6. 8M says they are flexible and can change system later if needed. But after signing contract they will take advantage of cancellation charges and keep increasing the prices. They won't lift phone or talk to customer and reply to emails after 1 or 2 days. They just quote to hurry you to sign contract so that they can grab cancellation fee or make you stuck with them with high cancellation fees and later increases price.

I had solar and 2x PW3's installed and from start to finish, the whole process was easy. The team at 8M really knows their stuff and will ensure they are fully up to date on all new technologies/applications. The timeline went as expected and they kept me informed on any and all changes. Excellent experience, excellent customer service, and excellent products. Glad I went with 8M over the other well-known companies in the area. Highly recommend!

I recently had the pleasure of working with 8M Solar to install solar panels on my property, and I am beyond impressed with the entire experience. From start to finish, every aspect of the process was handled with professionalism and expertise. First and foremost, the performance of the solar panels has exceeded my expectations. We completed our installation in October; I've consistently seen high production numbers since then. Although the direction of the house is the key. We had our solar install this week and couldn’t be happier! The whole process was very smooth and seamless from getting a quote to the install. The team did a great job explaining the process and answering any questions I had. Everyone was very respectful of our home and property as they did the install, and it all went up so quickly! 8M truly has a great team who are all very knowledgeable and good at what they do. The sales guy was especially amazing and really went the extra mile for me. They are very honest and transparent about their prices (which are reasonable) and process, unlike so many other solar companies out there. It was so worth the investment especially with how great the customer service is and the lifetime workmanship warranty they include. The actual panels look amazing and the design looks so clean and well done. Overall just a great company and I am so glad we went with them!

8MSolar was nothing but professional, informative, and efficient. I wanted to get an interconnect form to Duke Energy before the net metering changes on October 1, and despite me waiting until September 13 to get that process started, they got the interconnect request done in time and the system was operational less than two months from signing paperwork. I never felt rushed or out of the loop, the sales process was informative but not pressured, the project manager kept me informed of my next steps and status at all times, and promptly answered any questions I had. The price was competitive, coming in well under the competition with as good as or better equipment and warranties. The system is working as designed, the install looks clean, and I feel confident that if I have any questions or issues down the road, 8MSolar will be happy to help.

8MSolar was a great company to work with. I originally found them through EnergySage as I was a complete beginner, at the time. Bryce was the first person to reach out to me and understood I was getting other estimates, and even encouraged me to do so but offered a "careful warning" about large national corporations. They actually took an EagleView of my roof and did a preliminary setup to give me realistic ideas of what I could expect. The financing and process were fairly easy, though we did have a couple of hang-ups as we have a unique circumstance. Either way, there was no way for them to have known and I wasn't going to fault them for that information. Once we got all that situated though, it was smooth sailing. We had the roof replaced prior to the solar going up as we wanted it to last just as long as the panels. The installers did a great job on the brand new roof, had the correct equipment, and we made sure everything looked pristine (It legitimately looks amazing). We highly recommend them and will be referring them/using them again when the panels advance to the point that we can use a battery system.
