Solid knowledgeable local team
We worked with Greg to understand the benefits of solar based on our specific location and financing options. After working with Greg we had great communication from the entire team on install steps, county permits, and working with Duke Energy to get everything approved in a very quick timeframe. It is nice to work with a local company with local ties to the community. After a few months solar production is at or above the solar model provided at our first meeting and we look forward to the long summer days with lots of sunlight!

rooftop solar equal to 100% annual needs plus battery backup
Goal was to install solar to produce enough energy to meet my annual needs. Installed 100 KW solar panels (25 400 watt) plus 20 kw battery backup. Clean, neat professional installation. System produces just a little more than was quoted. Transition to battery's during power failures is excellent with no interruptions.

Flawless Project
After filling out an online solar questionnaire about installing solar panels on my house I was contacted by 5 companies. Three never followed up the lead, Coldstream Solar and one other company made proposals. The other company lied three times in their presentation and admitted it. Greg from Coldstream Solar put together a most impressive presentation and reviewed it with me on a Zoom call. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He answered my every question and educated me on reasons for rightsizing my system. The installation was flawless. Coldstream Solar coordinated everything with my county and electric company for approvals and set up of my net metering. The installers were professional and didn't leave a trace they were even here. The installation only took two and a half days. I highly recommend them, they know exactly what they are doing.

WOW That's all I can say, the system works as advertised. I received my first Duke electric bill after the system was up and running. To my surprise my bill was $00.00. Now I have electric freedom from Duke and future price hikes.....

I researched three solar companies. I sat through three presentations. Grant from Coldstream Solar was knowledgeable, professional and a straight shooter. We built our system to suit our needs plus a little extra. I appreciate Coldstream’s honesty and ability to add on to the system if we find our energy needs are greater than anticipated. My home is the fourth home on our street to go with Coldstream. I couldn’t be happier with the results. We are producing more energy than we need which is fantastic.
