Awesome Choice for Solar Company

Randomly searching for a solar company and I came across this company which isn't too far from my town. Wanted to get a quote and idea what solar/battery would cost and what else I needed to get, if any. I didn't expect an in person 1 on 1 quote and them driving out their way to go over panels and battery with such great details. I've used the energysage site and got quotes from other places but only one meeting and that was via video chat type platform but that company gave me options but was trying to up sale and get me to get the more expensive stuff. The person that saw me was a gentleman named Paul was very informative and didn't peer pressure me like a quick lube place or what a salesman pitch would do. While talking with Paul, only thing I needed to do different to get the most out of my solar was the removal of many many trees that would shade my roof. This was something I did on my own. He gave me options and even suggested things that cost less and still would be a great option. I elected to go with the panels I wanted and battery. I went with some Phono Solar 400 Watt panels and the Tesla Powerwall 3. When the time came for the installation of panels and battery. I got to meet the workers and interact with them. The days they were working, it did start to drizzle and rain some but the workers kept on doing what they could until they couldn't anymore safely. They have some of the hardest working people I've ever seen! After the install was complete. It wasn't long, for me, for the county inspector to come out and pass my system. What took the longest was Duke approving, but that's normal cause of paperwork and getting things changed. I don't fault them for that. When I was able to flip the switch and turn things on. It was like a kid in a candy store, I was excited and wanted to see what my system was capable of. I'll find out on my next bill. The company actually notified me that there was something that needed to be addressed and sent someone out to address some reading issue for my system. They are on top of their game of taking care of their customers. From Paul to Taylor to August to the workers. They spoke to me like a person and not a number. All professional to me. SN- I've been stat tracking my electrical use, solar, and charging on the Tesla app and the Enphase app. It's addictive to me.

We’ve had a good experience contracting a rooftop solar installation with SCSP. Chris our salesman did a great job of explaining the installation options, insurances, credits, and pricing. The staging schedule included permits, power company paperwork, inspections needed, delivery of equipment, and installation date. The job took about 2 week's which included inspections. A simple app on my phone lets me see the operation and savings of energy the panels are providing. Taylor and August monitor the system weekly and answered my questions. Thank you all at SCSP for a smooth installation. Geoff Briand Greer SC

Excellent customer service and trustworthy company

We had been wanting to install solar panels for two years and waited until we had found a company we wanted to work with. SCSP is run by people who have solar panels themselves and have high standards for making their design match customer electricity consumption. We have some shade on our panels, and they accounted for that in their design. We are making the electricity we expected to make. Our questions were answered with a lot of expertise, and they helped us understand our electricity bill which is a little confusing at first. SCSP is well-regarded by roofing companies and has longevity in the business, both of which was are important to us. We recommend SCSP highly.

Awesome Solar Company

We have always wanted to do our part in helping reduce our carbon footprint while saving some money doing so. I've even turned in my car for an EV and now we wanted to add solar energy to our home. We've done the research and am very pleased that we chose SCSP Solar to help us with this transition. First, the solar rep Paul Spence was very knowledgeable and honest with his presentation and Tayler, the Customer Service Expert was there for us all the way as our system got up and running. The administration setup was the longest wait, but necessary in order to get our county and electric company notified. After that, it was smooth sailing. If you're in the market for solar, this is the company to call.

Very Helpful

Everything went extremally smoothly, and on time. Very nice to have them walk through all the steps and even fill out the paperwork for the power company.

Informative first meeting

With the cost of electricity going up and never coming down my wife and I decided to look further into having solar at our home . Georgia Power had three or rate increases in a year. For 2 months we had the highest utility bills ever that I've had in my life. We feel lucky to have met Clay Copeland district manager of Scsp solar. He came to our home where we could ask him questions I knew little about solar power and neither did my wife. We have so many questions and he was able to explain it to us in layman's terms. He wanted to pick our brains too to find out what we were expecting and what we were trying to accomplish. Explain the federal government's rebates of 30% you talked about financing different rate plans and how long it will take for us to accomplish paying it off. He showed us the design and informed us the amount of solar that we would be getting throughout the year. We never felt pressured or rushed to make any decisions. I don't think he would tell us anything that wasn't true. We look forward to make a commitment with Clay in the future. A word to the wise be careful there are a lot of sales people out there some of them give you a price you can't refuse but watch out there may be add-ons that you don't know about. It's a big investment. Find someone with integrity. Someone that is truly looking out for your interest and needs.Someone that you can trust.

Great service on setting up and maintaining home solar

From start to finish, this was a great crew to work with. Very responsive in terms of changes in timeline for installation and just staying in touch. When one panel was not working properly after installation, they were on it asap. So far, great company to work with.

Fast and professional

Working with SCSP was super simple. Jon Mason came to the house for an introduction, and ended up measuring, sizing, and building a proposal for us in real-time. From there the process ran smoothly and efficiently, including the install which only took about half a day. We've had the system for 3 months now, and the net metering has totally balanced out our electric bill for each full month.

First Solar Experience - SCSP A+

The overall process from meeting with Jon Mason and discussing the alternative to deciding on the layout to installation and go live was a seamless experience. Tayler kept me informed and up to date on the process and communicated very well. My HOA was the only hiccup and SCSP did a great job working with them to get the project approved. Installation took one day and the inspector from the town was very impressed with the craftmanship and tying the electrical in on the side of the house so that it was not easily seen but secure. The inspector mentioned that a lot of jobs are sloppy, but raved about this one! Dominion came out quickly and we are live! Looking forward to project 2...the battery!

Solar Installation

We planned to become solar after we remodeled our house in 2019 however we did not know how to find a contractor. SCSP was the first one we contacted and we are glad we did. They assessed our property and our electricity consumption. Quickly they provided options on the number of solar panels and their locations. The sales process was expedited with detailed documentation of the proposed system layout. The installation took a week. Although I am very picky about cable runs not hidden, I can say that the installation was very well done. We were nervous on a 70' long trench to dig through our new backyard but we do not notice it anymore. The connection took one month, which I would have wished to be shorter. Our solar system consists of 63 panels and three sets of batteries. It has been running since February: - We have seen a major impact on our electric bill. Our last bill was divided by eight with even a refund on one of our meters. - The Enphase application is a great tool that provides real-time tracking of the electricity consumption, the solar production, the battery charging, and the supply to the grid - We experienced a 4hr power outage after a storm It was nice to have power while our neighborhoods were in the dark. - SCSP is very proactive in providing support, when we have concerns. Overall we are pleased with our systems. It is a pricey systems and remains pricey even with the tax credit but the saving on electricity bill will definitively help over the years. Being independent from the grid in case of loss of power, as well as minimizing the impact on the environment, are both a great feeling. We strongly recommend SCSP for their quality of service.
