WORST COMPANY ON EARTH
This company deserves ZERO stars. I have been trying to reach someone regarding removal of the panels so that my roofer can install a new roof. NO ONE has called or emailed me back despite multiple attempts (more than 10 times) to get this service scheduled. This has been going on for several weeks. I have NEVER experienced such POOR customer service in my life. Sunrun apparently just wants to collect its monthly fees and is absolutely not interested in providing any customer services whatsoever. It is obvious that money and profits are the only thing Sunrun cares about. It is mind blowing how little they regard they hold for their customers. It is equally stunning how such a pathetic company was able to become the country's largest residential solar company. I'm certain there are many third-world companies worldwide that are providing infinitely better service than Sunrun. NO ONE COULD POSSIBLY BE WORSE. There is a very good reason why Sunrun consistently gets abysmal ratings on multiple consumer rating sites. Any 5-star reviews are highly suspect and are likely posted by company employees. I am completely regretting ever having heard of Sunrun and urge anyone considering signing up for Sunrun to AVOID SUNRUN LIKE THE PLAGUE. You'll thank me later. Trust me.

Terrible- salesman preyed on my 75 year old father
A Sunrun Salesman, Talmage James, went to my dads home and convinced him to LEASE solar panels (all maxed out number of panels - very damaging on roof. Contractors did not even add any support to roof). My 75 year old father was persuaded by the salesman to take out 25 year lease on his 15 RENTAL homes. These are older homes and some roofs needed attention before solar panels could be installed. My dad was NOT in the market to put solar on his rentals at all. My dad is a bit too trusting and niave not realizing the world has changed and a person can no longer put their trust into a business as they could 20 years ago. The salesman had my dad sign all contracts on a tablet. My dad did not speak to any other solar company to get any other quotes- He was never in the market for this. I believe that he was preyed upon. I contacted Sunrun many times to ask them in what are the advantages for my father in entering these contracts? No response. I emailed and made phone calls. Only to be directed to different people that were always "on vacation." I see no advantage whatsoever for my father. I see MANY issues this has caused my father: His property insurance increased a lot. He now is making monthly lease payments to sunrun for the renters electricity. Something that he had not been liable for until the salesmans visit Also, the inspector never actually inspected the work. Yet some how it passed inspection. I know this because the first city inspector left a note requiring access to my roof crawlspace. Never did I see or hear from any inspector after that. Then suddenly a year after Sunrun began the construction work the panels had passed and they finally turned on the solar. During this entire year the solar was not running of course all lease payments still had to be made - this was the same on all of the rentals. It has now been 14 months since signing the contract- and some are still yet to be completed. Salesman also promised my dad he would receive $1000.00 VISA gift card for each rental after the solar had been completely installed. My dad received an email regarding this for only one of the homes. He has made contact with salesman multiple times but still has not received ANY of the promised cards. I estimate that by the end of these disgusting contracts - 25 years - my father or my family rather will have given Sunrun at least 2.5 million dollars. That does not include the 3% yearly increase on the monthly lease price. The roofs on all the homes will need to be replaced about every 10 years thanks to the max panels on the roof. I am severely disgusted with this company and especially with the salesman. No values or ethics at all. As far as tax credits and incentives .... the fine print of these solar panels states that Sunrun is to receive all incentives for each home. Due to these being LEASED panels and not purchased. Why the salesman set it up this way I have no idea other than selfish greed. The cost IS the same if my dad had been at least purchasing the solar instead of just leasing.

Do not do business with Sunrun. The sales representative, Iain, was deceitful in his presentation of the service provided by Sunrun. He also presented false promotional programs which he did not follow through with. In addition, we have been having issues with the battery. In the last 2 weeks I have placed multiple calls to Sunrun and sent an email to the person “handling my case”, and no one has addressed the issue with the battery. Now that I have solar power, I’m actually paying more in energy costs.

Stay away
SunRun is never to be trusted. They tried to push a lease on us. I let them come out and do a site survey and to my amazement they passed my 25yr old roof. All other installers stated we needed a roof, and they also did not push lease/ppa. Then their final design switched the states upon micro inverters for optimizers and a solar edge inverter. This is not what we had talked about wanting for equipment. They also tried to add 11 panels to the front of my house and raised the quoted price to $269…. I wouldn’t recommend SunRun to my worst enemy!

Installation
The 3 braddahs who did our installation, They did a phenomenal Job, quality of layout and how they installed the system speaks for it self. They worked well and in a timely manner. Overall They did a awesome Job in walking me through it in details. Very satisfied ☺️

Poor quality products and horrible service
Bought numerous panels 5 yrs ago. Roof leaked after installation, converters failed so my backup batteries failed. On vacation, returned home and power had gone out as it does with fires, etc. Lost a completely full large freezer full of meat, seafood, etc. Their panels did not produce what they claimed they would and now I have to pay for electric bills that should not exist. They always claim they can't get parts to replace failed components. Then they try and give you pennies on the dollar to settle claims. Typical corporate bs

Unhinged, confrontational and ignorant.
That's what I just dealt with in terms of the woman who came to my home from Sunrun. Don't even waste your time. And shame on Costco for partnering with such an unprofessional organization. Or at least the people that they hire are completely unprofessional. Giving me an attitude in my home while she was graciously invited in to give her pitch. Stay away. You only get one chance to make a first impression and boy did they blow it.

Amazing Team and Great Experience
The solar panel install was amazing the experience was impeccable. The communication since the beginning with my rep and the install foreman were on point and seamless. The install crew arrived a bit early and went to work without stopping until the job was completed. They worked around my schedule and minor requests and couldn’t be more happier with the quality of the job and quality of the customer service from the install team. Wish i could give a higher rating than 5 stars. I hope the company understands the value of having qualified and professional staff and takes care of this team. I will be recommending everyone to work with them. Thank you!

HORRIBLE SERVICE
Communication is almost nonexistent. Ive had the system installed now for over 4 months and its still not activated. I can not get a hold of anyone in over a month! Last I spoke to anyone the said waiting on permits and when I told them the inspection already happened they stopped answering. Now I get a text 2 months later saying waiting on permission to operate and government approval. Meanwhile my Bill is sitting at $1500.00 for Edison. While I have 25k in solar just sitting on my roof collecting dust. HORRIBLE company
